At
the Huff House Inn, a block and a half east of the town square,
you can truly experience downtown Jackson's unique shops, restaurants,
museums, galleries and activities. Then at days end, withdraw to
the Inn's quietly elegant ambiance. Mature cottonwoods and majestic
pines protect you from Jackson's vibrant activity.
The Huff House Inn features three spacious guest rooms in the main
house and four recently built guest cottages, all with private baths.
While retaining a sense of Jackson Hole as it was in the early part
of this century, the Huff House's comfortable furnishings make your
stay a warm and relaxing home away from home.
The
Inn is decorated in a traditionally luxurious yet comfortable style.
The living room features a warming brick fireplace with comfortable
sofas and large bright windows. Surrounded by antiques, beveled
glass doors and original fixtures, our guests enjoy reading, visiting
or just browsing through our information on the area.
Breakfast
is served family style, either in the formal dining room or in the
cheery breakfast room. We serve a full and memorable breakfast each
morning. A variety of the freshest fruits, breads, juices and entrees
are served. You might have Jackie's famous Orange-Thyme Pancakes
one day, or her tasty Oven Omelet with sun dried tomatoes, tangy
cheese, and onions.
Cottage
and Room Information
Each
of the cottages at the Inn feature a king size bed, gas fireplace,
spacious bathroom complete with an oversized whirlpool tub, shower
and double vanities, hair dryer & robes. The large room with
cathedral ceiling has comfortable furnishings and original art,
TV, VCR, and telephone. Enjoy your B&B experience with extra
special privacy, perfect for the romantic stay. A delightful year
round experience, only a short stroll to the main house for breakfast,
our guests return year after year to "their cottage".
Enjoy the individual porch with Huie Ziglar Rockers.
The
cottages are Willow, decorated in green, Huckleberry in burgundy,
Indian Paintbrush, also in burgundy but with a southwest motif,
and Lupine in blues.
All are delightful.
Enjoy Jackie's hand stenciled decorating. There are sleeper sofas
in each one, for those traveling with children.
All the rooms in the main house have a private bath, either tub
or shower, television, telephone, hair dryer, and robes. The queen
size bedrooms have hand pieced quilts made by an artisan in Jackson
Hole. As well as the living room with game table on the main floor
there is an upstairs sitting area with game table and writing desk.
The Spicer Room, on the upper floor, has a queen size bed, large
bathroom with shower. It is named after Captain C. C. Spicer, a
Colorado native who was the second owner of the house. The charming
delicate flowered wallpaper with a spattering of rose pink flowers
is off-set by an unusual hand pieced quilt in pink and black. The
large window faces south, looking across town to Snow King Mountain
(the locals' ski hill), a cozy room for a pleasant stay.
The Colter Room,
another upstairs bedroom with a queen size bed, large bathroom with
a shower, has more of Jackie's handiwork on its walls. A beautiful
quilt in blues and pinks adorns the bed. An antique dresser and
wardrobe, comfortable arm chair and footstool make this an inviting
room any time of the year.
The Jackson
Room, the largest of the upstairs bedrooms, has a full size bath
tub in the spacious bathroom, a queen sized pin four poster bed
with a Lone Star design quilt in white green and lilacs. This charming
room has hand stenciled walls and a hand painted dresser. The north
window has a view of the Elk refuge two blocks away, and in the
distance the top of the Grand Teton can be spied above the East
Gros Ventre Butte.
